Roger Holland and Ian Jones Rock at the CBA Battle of the Bar Bands
The Ninth Annual CBA Battle of the Bar Bands was held at the legendary Commodore Ballroom on June 11, 2010. Roger Holland and Ian Jones of Singleton Urquhart rocked and rolled in 1980s glam rock fashion with their band, Standard of Hair, coming in third place at the event.
The Battle of the Bar Bands is a Canadian Bar Association (CBA) sponsored event, founded by Singleton Urquhart's Derek Brindle, QC, and organized by Mr. Brindle, Roger Holland and Ian Jones of SU. The Battle of the Bar Bands raises money for the CBA Benevolent Society, a charity that provides assistance to lawyers' families who have experienced severe personal tragedy. This year's event raised a record excess of $95,000 for the Society.
