Professional Background
Michael Peraya is a litigator, with a focus in insurance and construction law. He has experience defending complex personal injury claims, resolving construction disputes and defect matters, and defending insurance liability cases.
Michael has significant court experience, including appearing as co-counsel in jury trials in the British Columbia Supreme Court and assisting in matters before the British Columbia Court of Appeal. He has represented both corporate and personal clients in mediations and has participated in arbitrations and administrative proceedings.
He was called to the bar in 2008 after completing his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to law school, Michael completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at Simon Fraser University.
Michael has been with Singleton Urquhart LLP since 2006 when he began his summer articles.
