Claire Immega received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Toronto in 2006, and her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia in 2011.

Ms. Immega developed her interest and skills in litigation and dispute resolution at UBC Law. Representing UBC at the Gale Cup Moot in Toronto, Ms. Immega argued in front of Justice Binnie of the Supreme Court of Canada after advancing to the final round. She competed twice in the UBC Environmental Law Negotiation Competition, completed a course in Mediation Advocacy, and participated in the Mediation Practicum, mediating a variety of small claims disputes in B.C. Provincial Court.

While at UBC Law, Ms. Immega served her community as a Law Student’s Legal Advice Program clinician, representing clients in family, criminal, and employment matters. She also co-directed Legal Education Outreach, a legal education program outreach program for high school students, and served on the UBC Law Careers Committee.

Ms. Immega started at Singleton Urquhart as a summer articled student in 2010, and began her articles with the firm in 2011. Ms. Immega is the first alternate to clerk at the British Columbia Court of Appeal for 2012-2013.
