Professional Background
Daniel Barber earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history from the University of Ottawa in 2006. He then attended the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 2009. Mr. Barber first joined Singleton Urquhart as a summer student in 2008.
While at law school Mr. Barber was twice-elected to student government positions. He was a member of the UBC team for the British Columbia Law Schools Moot and an intern with the Provincial Court of British Columbia. Additionally, Mr. Barber volunteered with the Law Student’s Legal Advice Program and served as vice-president of the law school’s rugby team.
Mr. Barber has appeared before both the Supreme Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia. He maintains a general civil litigation practice, with a focus on commercial litigation, insurance defence, construction law, and civil fraud.
