Professional Background
Debra Rusnak obtained her undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in 2004. After working in the financial service industry for two years she continued her studies at the University of Victoria, receiving her Bachelor of Laws degree in 2009.
While at law school, Ms. Rusnak volunteered in the community by participating in Pro Bono Students Canada which provides free legal advice to various community organizations. In 2009 Ms. Rusnak represented the University of Victoria at the Gale Cup Moot Competition in Toronto.
Ms. Rusnak completed her articles with Singleton Urquhart and joined the firm as an Associate in June, 2010. She has a keen interest in the areas of construction, occupational health and safety and employment law and has incorporated these areas into her general litigation practice at Singleton Urquhart.
