Professional Background
A graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, Mr. Stacey was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1983. Since then he has worked with several law firms, including a period as the managing partner of one. He joined Singleton Urquhart in 2003.
Mr. Stacey’s practice is primarily directed towards advising clients about diverse commercial problems and transactions. He has acted for businesses in a wide range of industries, including transportation and aviation, construction and manufacturing, restaurant and food services, professional services and retail sales. He also acted as counsel in commercial litigation involving construction claims, professional negligence actions, shareholder disputes and probate and estate matters.
For his business clients, Mr. Stacey brings wide experience dealing with corporate governance and finance, purchase and sale transactions, business reorganizations, intellectual property issues, and providing commercial advice.
