Professional Background
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Lesiuk enjoyed a career in the transportation industry. In 1979, he graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Commerce degree, with specializations in finance and transportation. He headed the Marketing Services Department of British Columbia Railway, a department responsible for marketing research, planning, forecasting, and financial and economic analysis. He also worked for three years for Canadian Occidental Petroleum as their Senior Transportation Advisor, where he was responsible for the budgeting and shipping requirements of the Chemical Division.
Following graduation from law school at the University of British Columbia, Mr. Lesiuk worked as a law clerk for the British Columbia Supreme Court at the Vancouver Courthouse.
Mr. Lesiuk has appeared in all levels of Courts in British Columbia. Mr. Lesiuk has a varied commercial litigation practice involving construction administration and environmental, insurance, and contract disputes.
