Professional Background
After graduating from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, Ms. Lam decided to pursue a career in the legal profession and obtained her formal legal education on substantive and procedural law as well as legal skills training from Capilano College’s two year Legal Assistant Program (now known as the Institute of Paralegal Studies, Capilano University). She subsequently graduated with a Legal Assistant Diploma and has enjoyed working in the legal profession for many years.
Prior to joining Singleton Urquhart, Ms. Lam worked for the municipal government in its Law Department, providing legal assistance in a variety of matters including personal injury litigation, municipal injunctions, police defences, property damage claims and general commercial litigation. Prior to that, Ms. Lam worked as a Paralegal in a private law firm which focused primarily on personal injury cases.
