Professional Background

Ms. Cornish is a partner at Singleton Urquhart, specializing in commercial, property and workplace disputes.

In addition to a litigation practice, Ms. Cornish is actively involved in both mediation and arbitration on behalf of her own clients and as a mediator/arbitrator retained by others.

Ms. Cornish has a broad range of experience in most types of commercial disputes including:

• insurers, property owners, lessees, design professionals and others involved in construction, property and commercial leasing disputes;
• employers, contractors, and employees involved in employment, WCB, OHS, privacy and discrimination disputes;
• insurers and claimants in bodily injury, errors and omissions and property claims.

In addition to the above, Ms. Cornish is also the supervising lawyer of the BC Human Rights Clinic, an adjunct professor at UBC, and a Justice of the Peace Adjudicator for the Provincial Court of BC.
