Professional Background
Originally from Hamilton, Ontario, Ian Jones made the storied trek west in 1997 to complete his undergraduate degree in history, and shortly thereafter declared his intention to become a full-fledged Westerner. While attending law school at UBC, Mr. Jones was active as Senior Editor of the internationally published law journal, UBC. Law Review.
Since joining Singleton Urquhart as an articled student in 2004, Mr. Jones has represented clients in Small Claims Court, BC Supreme Court and the BC Court of Appeal. Mr. Jones has a general litigation practice that focuses on matters relating to insurance law, civil fraud, professional liability and environmental law.
