Professional Background

Immediately upon graduation from secondary school in Galt, Ontario, Mr. Whittaker enlisted in the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. His service placed him in 13 communities throughout 4 provinces over the next 24 years. In 1983, Mr. Whittaker joined a Vancouver law firm as a Legal Assistant in their Engineering Litigation department. In 1986, he joined Singleton Urquhart as a Legal Assistant and Office Manager until leaving for health issues in 1993. Mr. Whittaker has recently returned to the Firm to work on a contract basis.
