Professional Background
Following completion of her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Criminology at Simon Fraser University, Melissa Nagelbach moved to Sydney, Australia for three years. A highlight of her time in Australia was having the opportunity to attend the Sydney 2000 Summer Olympics.
Upon her return to Canada, Ms. Nagelbach studied law at the University of Victoria where she received her LL.B. in 2007. While at law school, Ms. Nagelbach volunteered for the Pro Bono Students Society and was rewarded for her academic achievements by receiving the Professor Jim Ellis Memorial Prize in International Business & Trade Law and the Scotia Trust - Donovan & Maryla Waters Award in Trusts and Estate Planning.
Since joining Singleton Urquhart as both a summer and articling student, Ms. Nagelbach has worked on a broad range of business law and civil litigation files. She has appeared in both Supreme and Provincial Courts. She has a general business law and civil litigation practice, with a focus in the areas of corporate commercial, real property, wills and estates and debt collection.
