Professional Background

Born and raised in the United Kingdom, Mr. Thompson emigrated to Canada in 1978. He was called to the British Columbia Bar in 1981 after becoming a Canadian citizen.

Mr. Thompson's early practice concentrated on real estate lending, realizations and insolvency. In recent years, it has increasingly featured real estate development and related matters, including environmental issues, together with corporate and commercial business, estates and estate planning.

In his practice he seeks to enhance his clients' business and personal interests through the prompt and effective identification and implementation of business opportunities. Efficient and practical resolution of client concerns is also a central feature of his approach to the practice of law

Avocations
