Professional Background

Before joining Singleton Urquhart, Mr. Brearley's background included acting as a litigation specialist with a major insurer in Winnipeg. Following his studies at the University of Manitoba, he undertook his articles with one of Canada's leading law firms and then for four years worked as an associate with an insurance defence law firm in Vancouver. His experience included acting as both defence counsel and coverage counsel in a variety of matters involving professional liability, general liability, builders risks and directors and officers errors and omissions coverage.

At Singleton Urquhart, Mr. Brearley continues to practice extensively in the insurance law area, representing clients in a variety of commercial litigation matters.
