Professional Background

Kyle is an Associate and a member of the Litigation Group with a focus on commercial litigation and civil fraud.  He also practices in the areas of internet law, estate litigation, insurance law, shareholders disputes and class action proceedings.

Kyle advises and assists clients with all aspects of dispute resolution, including:

  • identifying legal issues, potential causes of action and types of legal relief
  • drafting originating and interlocutory pleadings
  • developing effective strategies for litigation and potential settlement
  • forcefully advocating for clients’ interests before all kinds of adjudicators

His constant goal is to obtain efficient solutions to his clients’ legal problems through a combination of incisive legal analysis and practical insight.

Kyle has appeared before the Provincial Court of British Columbia, the Supreme Court of British Columbia, and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.

Rankings + Recognitions

In law school, Kyle won the Peter Burns Competitive Trial Moot, the award for best cross-examination in that competition, and represented UBC at the Western Canada Trial Moot Competition, also known as the MacIntyre Cup.

Community + Volunteering

Kyle is an enthusiastic, if not particularly skilled, participant in the annual Hoop-Law Charity Basketball Tournament. Since 1995, the event has raised more than $1 million for local charities focused on helping children in need living in the Lower Mainland.
