Professional Background

Makaela Peters is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation, Insurance, Workplace Law, and Professional Liability Practice Groups at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP.

Makaela has assisted senior counsel in a wide variety of claims in both traditional litigation and alternative forms of dispute resolution. She has a general commercial litigation practice with a focus on commercial and workplace disputes, insurance defence and professional liability.

During her articles at the firm, Makaela gained particular experience with workplace law, including issues of wrongful dismissal, disciplining and/or dismissing employees, properly conducting investigations, drafting employment contracts, and advising on human rights issues.
