Professional Background

Rob is a Senior Associate and a member of the Civil Fraud, Commercial Litigation, Construction, Insurance and Professional Liability Law Groups at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP. His litigation practice involves insurance defence and general commercial litigation. He has represented insurers and their insureds in such areas as professional liability, construction, and motor vehicle claims.

In his commercial litigation practice Rob assists clients in a variety of litigation matters including debt claims, contract issues, and franchise disputes. Rob’s familiarity with the Rules of Court and alternative dispute resolution options permit him to develop a unique litigation strategy for every client no matter how big or small the dispute.

Rob has represented clients in settlement negotiations, mediations and in the Provincial and Supreme Court in many matters including:

  • defence of architects, engineers, and contractors in construction claims including negligence, breach of contract and delay claims
  • defence of professional negligence claims including those made against financial planners and insurance agents
  • defence and prosecution of debt claims for individuals and businesses.
  • negotiation and arbitration of franchise disputes
  • prosecution of subrogated claims on behalf of insurers.
