Emma Chapman received her Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia in 2023. She previously spent two summers at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds Vogel LLP, first as a 1L Litigation Fellowship Student and later as a summer articled student. Before law school, Emma graduated with distinction from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology.
Throughout law school, Emma received several awards for academic achievement. She also participated in various clubs and programs, including the UBC Law Review, the Peer Tutor Program, and the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program. In her second year, Emma was elected Ombudsperson of the UBC Law Students’ Society. In this capacity, she investigated student complaints, co-Chaired the Society’s Equity and Diversity Committee, and managed an informal peer mentorship program for incoming first year students. In her last year of law school, Emma placed as Alternate Winner of the Peter Burns Mock Trial Competition.
Emma will clerk at the BC Supreme Court beginning in September, 2024.
