Tanya Soni received her Juris Doctor from Western Law School in 2023. Tanya previously spent a summer at Singleton Urquhart Reynolds LLP as a second-year summer student. Prior to law school, Tanya completed her Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Political Science at Wilfrid Laurier University.
During law school Tanya worked both as a caseworker and as a team leader at community legal services which provides pro-bono legal services in the areas of criminal, family, and civil law to low-income residents in the London-Middlesex region. During her second year at Western Law, Tanya also worked as the Pro Bono Students Canada Program Coordinator for the Western Law Chapter where she managed 25 pro bono projects with over 60 student volunteers. Tanya was also a research assistant and co-chair at Western’s Canada-US Law Institute, and a mentor at Western Women in Law during her law school career.
Tanya speaks English, French, and Hindi.
